Memorial Donations

Gifts given in memory of NDEA members, their families and other friends of public education have allowed the Foundation to have an active program of grants and scholarships. 

Memorials may be given to the general fund of the Foundation or they may be designated for one of the special funds, such as the Westby Leadership Fund or the Oban Special Education Scholarship.  An individual-named fund may be created within the Foundation with an initial gift of $5,000.  Individuals interested in creating a named endowment may contact the Foundation office at 1-800-369-6332.

To contribute a memorial gift, send the gift to: NDEA Foundation, 301 N 4th Street, Bismarck, 58501.  Include the name of the person for whom the memorial is being given and also the name and address of a family member.  This will provide the information so an acknowledgement can be sent to the family.

Memorials and other gifts to the Foundation may be tax deductible to the donor.  The Foundation is a recognized charity under the provisions of the IRS code section 501(c)(3).
